Techniques will include – working with sugarpaste fondant and learn how to imprint it as well as create domed cupcakes. You will create sugarpaste decorations as well as learn how to beautifully pipe buttercream as well as flat icing techniques. As you can see it will be an absolutely packed and fun 3 hour class!

>Jude’s Cakery Bakery is delighted to be teaching regular classes at www.thecheshirecakeschool.co.uk. We will be taking our hugely successful ‘signature cupcake’ decorating classes to the school, where you will learn a broad range of techniques and skills, including regular swirls, rose swirls, two tone rose swirls, star piping, flat top icing and how to make imprinted domes. You will also hand make your own sugarpaste decorations. This class will be suitable for both beginners and those with experience. New for 2012 – Cupcake Baking AND Decorating Courses at Jude’s Cakery, Manchester!

We have received SO many requests at Jude’s Cakery Bakery, for cupcake classes covering BOTH baking and decorating we have decided to put on classes that cover those very things! Our classes are always limited to just 4 students, so you will be guaranteed attention required to enable you to create stunning, professional looking cupcakes that look and taste amazing! You will take home a dozen cupcakes made in Jude’s Cakery Bakery signature style, like those pictured below made from scratch by your own fair hand!

We do NOT buy in decorations – so you will be shown how to make all the sugarcraft pieces adorning the cupcakes, for yourself. In addition – you will learn how to pipe buttercream roses, how to flat ice your cupcakes and how to pipe ‘Mr Whippy’ style swirls! You will take home a dozen, beautiful cupcakes plus a useful handout covering key elements of the course.

This course will be ideal for those cupcake enthusiasts wanting to learn hands on how to make a ‘robust’ tried and tested recipe. It will meet the needs of those students wanting to learn more than basic piping swirls and sprinkles/glitter, offered by many courses. Additionally, it is ideal for brides wanting to make their own wedding cupcakes.

The course will take place at 1pm Thursday 19th January 2012 and will last between 3 and 3 1/2 hours. The cost of the course is £50 and light refreshments are also supplied.

We are delighted to announce our first Christmas Cupcake decorating class will be held on Saturday 10th December 2011 1pm-5pm, in our fantastic Didsbury kitchen.

Places will be limited to just 5 students which will provide you with the tutor/student attention and time you will need to create the stunning Christmas range featured in this picture.

Techniques will include – working with sugarpaste fondant to create domed cupcakes and flat cupcakes, stencilling and imprinting which will also include basic painting and lustre dusts. You will also create 3d sugarpaste models and learn how to beautifully pipe buttercream. As you can see it will be an absolutely packed and fun 4 hour class! Furthermore, the best thing is……that even though the class is Christmas themed you will learn a whole host of skills that you will be able to transfer to any theme you choose!
