Wedding Cake Pops and Favours, Didsbury, Manchester, Cheshire and Liverpool

Based in Didsbury, Manchester Jude’s Cakery Bakery has been providing cake pops for a number of years. Although still new or unfamiliar to many people, we have been creating these little balls of chocolate dipped cake truffle for many occasions in and around Manchester, Cheshire, Liverpool, Merseyside.

Our cake pops are incredibly versatile and can be created to suit many events from children’s parties, dinner parties, balls, corporate events and of course as wedding favours. Indeed cake pops can double as a particularly attractive and tasty wedding favour and place name setting, as can be seen from the photo below. These cake pops were designed to work as wedding favours, place name settings and the colour scheme worked beautifully with the theme of the day. Men were given burgundy cake pops and female guests were provided with dusky pink.

We can design our cake pops to fit your unique and individual needs, matching them with corporate or event. colours and logos
Our specialty is our bespoke design service – many of our customers come to us with a particular theme or an idea and we create a pop to suit them. All our cake pops are made from home baked cakes (from scratch) and buttercream. The pop cakes are then dipped with chocolate and finished with sprinkles, sugarpaste decorations or chocolate drizzle before wrapped in cello bags and tie. Our lollicakes are for many of our customers a fabulous alternative to traditional wedding cakes and cupcakes. In fact they can be arranged in styrofoam stands and actually look like a traditional wedding cake (please see our cake pop gallery here ).

The best thing about our cake pops are that you don’t need to be local to Manchester or Cheshire to have our them at your event or wedding reception. Our cake pops can travel really well by post but if you are local feel free to contact me to arrange a consultation and tasting (for volume orders only). We are currently very busy with wedding consultations for organised brides and grooms seeking to nail down their wedding cupcakes and wedding cake designs for their 2013 Wedding. Last year we made fabulous wedding cakes, cupcake towers and wedding favours for so many wonderful wedding celebrations across Manchester, Cheshire and beyond – we even ventured as far as Southport and Liverpool. 2013 is shaping up to be an even busier year! Cupcake towers are remaining a strong choice for Manchester brides and groom and buttercreamed tiered cakes and naked (i.e. undecorated with anything other than fresh flowers or fruit) are sneaking in as a new favourite. Of course, beautiful, elegant tiered classic wedding cakes remain ever popular in Manchester. There are so many fantastic, traditional venues across Manchester, Cheshire and Stockport, that sometimes only a striking, tall and time honoured, tiered cake would be suitable.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, the you soon will! The Cheshire Cake School is the latest and greatest thing to hit the North West. Recently opened in August 2012, this exciting new school aims to provide classes in everything cakey from beginner level to professional, with classes covering all aspects of cupcake decorating, cakes, tiered cakes, sculpted cakes, cookies and even working with chocolate. Jude’s Cakery Bakery is delighted to be teaching regular classes at the school. We will be taking our hugely successful ‘signature cupcake’ decorating classes to the school, where you will learn a broad range of techniques and skills, including regular swirls, rose swirls, two tone rose swirls, star piping, flat top icing and how to make imprinted domes. You will also hand make your own sugarpaste decorations. This class will be suitable for both beginners and those with experience. You can be reassured that all my classes receive five star student feedback and you will go home with one dozen stunning cupcakes and a range of transferable skills!

We are delighted to announce our next Cupcake decorating workshop, will be held on Saturday 14th July 2012 1pm-4 pm, in Didsbury, Manchester.

Places will be limited to a small group of students, in order to provide you with the tutor/student attention and time you will need to create 12 stunning cupcakes using the styles, techniques and designs this picture.

Techniques will include – working with sugarpaste fondant and learn how to imprint it as well as create domed cupcakes. You will create sugarpaste decorations as well as learn how to beautifully pipe buttercream as well as flat icing techniques. As you can see it will be an absolutely packed and fun 3 hour class!

You will take home a dozen cupcakes and handouts plus light refreshments will be supplied during the class.

Our cookies can be themed to co-ordinate with you wedding colour and style theme. Each beautiful cookie is baked from scratch and hand decorated, before being wrapped in cello bags and tied with colour co-ordinating ribbon. Cupcake Baking and Decorating Class 1pm, Saturday 25th February 2012

Following the success of our recent course, we will be holding another Cupcake Baking and Decorating class. This is your opportunity to learn how to create stunning cupcakes from start to finish.

Our classes are always limited to just 4 students and you will be guaranteed attention required to enable you to create stunning, professional looking cupcakes that look and taste amazing! You will take home a dozen cupcakes made in Jude’s Cakery Bakery signature style, like those pictured above, made from scratch by your own fair hand!

We do NOT buy in decorations – so you will be shown how to make all the sugarcraft pieces adorning the pictures, for yourself. In addition – you will learn how to pipe buttercream roses, how to flat ice your cupcakes and how to pipe ‘Mr Whippy’ style swirls! You will take home a dozen, beautiful cupcakes plus a useful handout covering key elements of the course.

This course will be ideal for those cupcake enthusiasts wanting to learn hands on how to make a ‘robust’ tried and tested recipe. It will meet the needs of those students wanting to learn more than basic piping swirls and sprinkles/glitter, offered by many courses. Additionally, it is ideal for brides wanting to make their own wedding cupcakes.

The course will take place at 1pm, Saturday 25th February 2012 and will last between 3 and 3 1/2 hours. The cost of the course is £55 and light refreshments are also supplied.

The course will be held in our fantastic Didsbury, Manchester kitchen.
